Greetings My Name is Marcus Calvert. I will be going into my 4th year teaching science and my second here at RHS. I am a varsity assistant football coach here at the high school as well. I look forward to this school year and all the great things that will happen here. Good luck and lets have a great year. 

Students in this course will develop an understanding of the major themes of biology such as the characteristics of life, chemistry of life, cellular biology, genetics, evolution, anatomy and ecology. Course work will include inquiry-based labs and hands-on activities that will reinforce topics taught during the year.  

 

Special Requirements:

  1. Attend class daily
  2. Pay careful, intelligent attention in class
  3. Participate in class activities by asking questions, contributing to class discussions, and performing laboratory exercises. 
  4. Take detailed notes during lectures and the playing of videos.
  5. Pay careful attention to the completion of all readings and homework assignments. 

 

Assessment:   Students will be assessed using several methods including but not limited to the following:  ● Tests ● Quizzes (announced & unannounced) ● Exit tickets ● Lab write­ups/reports ● Lab practical(s) ● Projects ● Case Studies ● Article Reviews
