This course builds upon concepts developed in previous studies of American History and emphasizes national development from the late nineteenth century into the twenty-first century. After a review of fundamental themes in the early development of the nation, students study the key events, people, groups and movements in the late nineteenth, twentieth, and early twenty-first centuries, as they relate to life in present-day United States. US History A reviews the fundamental concepts of American History and culminates with a study of the 1920s. US History B begins with the Great Depression and culminates with the most recent events of the twenty-first century.
